NBA Bets of the Day – April 25th, 2009

I really like the Heat tonight at home after the way Dwayne Wade and the gang played in Game 2 versus Atlanta. I also like the Lakers to rebound from a disappointing loss in Game 3 to the Jazz.

Heat -4
Lakers -4

Overall Record:

NBA 32-23
MLB 25-16-1
NHL 0-1
College Football: 106-92-1

NBA Bets of the Day – April 22nd, 2009

I was very confident about the Cavs last night and for awhile it looked like the lock of the century. In the end they only covered by one and unfortunately Portland couldn’t quite get over the hump, but they did win. I like my two picks for tonight so follow if you feel the same.

Nuggets -5.5
Hawks/Heat under 184

Overall Record:

NBA 31-22
MLB 25-16-1
NHL 0-1

NBA Bets of the Day – April 21st, 2009

I have to say I would even take the Cavs if they were favored by 15 tonight at home against the Pistons. Detroit is flat out “turrable” and they mailed it in weeks ago. I’m not as confident about the Blazers, but if they don’t want to get swept a win tonight is a must. Happy gambling!

Cleveland Cavaliers

Cavaliers -11
Blazers -5.5

College Basketball Bet of the Day – National Championship Game

There is a lot of buzz around the Michigan State Spartans possibly slaying Goliath tonight in the National Championship, but I just don’t see it happening. I know they handled Louisville and UConn rather easily, but let’s not forget just a few months ago many were asking the question will the Tarheels go undefeated. While that was a uneducated thing to think because it’s too hard to do, but this UNC team is really really good. I think in the end Carolina wins this game by 12 to 13 points.

UNC -7.5

How far can ODU go?

There are 8 games in the NCAA tournament over the next 2 days and none bigger than the James Madison vs Old Dominion barn burner in the College Insider Tourney.
odu1

Think of it this way.. when either of these teams win tonight they could actually be playing longer than a 1,2 or 3 seed in the NCAA Tourney.

This is like during the Bowl season you have this side Bowl season where the other 60 teams who were 5-6 or worse get a chance to extend their schedule.

Isnt the NCAA and the NIT enough? Do we have to have this CI Classic being played where you cant even watch it on TV.  In an era when the DII Womens Final Eight is on TV this ‘classic’ is not even being televised. And how ‘classic’ is it?

Anyway.. I gave the 6.5 and took ODU along with:
