Tiger Woods today in stunning fashion won his fifth straight PGA title and 7th overall. Tiger was down seven strokes coming into play Saturday, but that is a walk in the park for the 800 pound gorilla that is Tiger Woods. Tiger came into Sunday tied and won the Bay Hill Invitiational on the 18th hole by calmly sinking a 25 foot birdie putt. If you aren’t watching the PGA yet this year I highly suggest you begin now because Tiger is making history each and every tournament he plays.
* Big Ben just hit the mother load with an eight year deal worth $102 million. Roethlisberger joins Peytong Manning, Brett Favre, Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb and the suspended Vick in the $100 million club for signal callers. Many people are questioning whether the Steelers should extend the wealthiest contract in franchise history, but I personally think Ben deserves every dime. Lets just hope there was a provision in the contract for staying away from motorcycles. 😉
* The Houston Rockets won their 15th game in a row matching a franchise record. That is all well and good, but now that Yao is out of the season the Rockets will be lucky to make it to the playoffs. Remember this statement!
* Michael “The Burner” Turner has signed a lucrative deal with the Atlanta Falcons and should be the starting running back in ’08 for Hotlanta. Turner has been mired behind Tomlinson for years in San Diego and I fully expect a huge season this coming year. Nice work by the Falcons especially after so many dumb moves in recent months. On a side note Warrick Dunn immediately asked for a release due to this acquisition.
* Kobe dropped 52 yesterday in a win over the Dallas Mavericks. The Lakers only lost TWO games in all of February and are a legitimate threat to win it all this year.
* Ernie Els won the Honda Classic yesterday ending a four-year winless drought. Whoopty do! Els is no longer a top player in the game and is not competition for Tiger Woods.
All of our peeps know we are huge fans for Natalie Gulbis of the LPGA. Well, I think we have one more reason to watch LPGA now that we have discovered Anna Rawson. Anna is definitely smoking, but is she hotter than Natalie? Thoughts?
Natalie gave it her all this past weekend in the ADT Championship which is the last tournament of the year in the LPGA. Unfortunately in the end SportsUnderground.com’s favorite golfer lost by two strokes to the number one player in the LPGA Laurena Ochoa. Natalie really improved her game this year and we expect BIG things from her next year. 🙂

It’s the final LPGA event of the year so we thought we should give our girl one final shout out for 2007. Natalie is competing this weekend in the ADT Championship at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. The tournament has the largest purse in LPGA history with a million dollar payday. We wish you all the luck Natalie and make sure you stretch out good.
The title is not a typo so you are reading it correctly. The PGA unveiled today that Justin Timberlake will serve as host of its Las Vegas event in 2008. Justin is the 14th celebrity to host an official tournament joining others like Dean Martin, Andy Williams, Ed McMahon, Frank Sinatra, Jackie Gleason and others. The event will be held Oct. 13-19, 2008 and Timberlake will play in the celebrity pro-am and hold a concert that week. Timberlake should play well in the pro-am event considering he is a 6 handicap. I can assure you there will be more hot a$$ at this PGA event than any other one the entire year!
I am absolutely stunned at this news so it makes the site even though it’s just a rumor at this time. There is word at mediatakeout.com that Phil Mickelson has a love child with a black stripper from Hotlanta. The rumor goes on to say that SportsIllustrated was going to break this news, but sponsors were going to ‘pull out’ if the story was printed. Did you like my use of ‘pull out’? 😉

The beloved David Beckham scored his first goal with the LA Galaxy yesterday against DC United. Check out the video clip of Beckham scoring on a free kick in his first start. He is so worth the $250 million dollars they paid him. 😉
Tiger Woods won his 4th PGA Championship yesterday at Southern Hills and now holds a whopping 13 major championships. Tiger is also now 13-0 in majors when holding a lead going into the final round. “El Tigre” is truly one of the most impressive competitors of all time. Tiger is now only five away from the record of 18 majors that Jack Nicklaus has in his arsenal. I truly think Tiger has a shot at 18 by the year 2010. Thoughts?
