Over at Ball Don’t Lie they have pictures of the new Oklahoma City Thunder jerseys. My initial thought is there isn’t one thing creative about the jerseys in the least. Basically it looks like pieces of a Golden State and the New York Knicks jerseys have been morphed together. Am I wrong? Do you like them?
WTF Josh Howard
If you haven’t already heard Josh Howard of the Dallas Mavericks doesn’t celebrate the National Anthem for some reason. Not only does he not celebrate the Anthem he actually feels it’s his right to disrespect it on camera. Howard was caught on this video at Allen Iverson’s charity flag football game in July showing his a$$. Howard has officially lost my respect forever.
Bobcats Get Something Right
To date there have been so many question marks around a franchise due to very odd decisions, but today I feel they got something very right. The Charlotte Bobcats signed stud center Emeka Okafor to a 6 year $72 million dollar deal. Okafor is only 25 years old and over his NBA career has averaged 14.3 points and 10.8 rebounds a game. Emeka is not only baller he is an extremely intelligent good will individual that does a lot for the community. Charlotte needed to keep this dominant post player not only for his presence on the court, but even more for what he will do for the franchise and the city. Well done MJ! You finally made a great decision.
Avtio Atlanta and the NBA
Josh Childress found a lot of cabbage today in Greece after signing a three-year $20 million deal with the Greek club team Olympiakos. Childress was a restricted agent, but an NBA team can’t match an offer made from a club overseas. This contract is now the biggest ever in Europe yet more than likely it will be topped soon because other players are going to want this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The twist to the is story is that the Hawks were set to offer Childress close to $36 million, but in Greece Childress won’t have to pay any taxes and will be treated like an absolute king. Primoz Brezec, Carlos Delfino, Juan Carlos Navarro and Bostjan Nachbar are other NBA players that decided to play in Europe this offseason.

Pau Gasol Has Game?
Apparently so if you have ever seen his wife. They are like oil and vinegar…err…I mean peas and carrots if you ask me. Lena likes to live quite carefree based on a Google image search of her name. I recommend checking it out sometime or maybe right now? WOW!
Dazed and Confused
Brad Miller of the Sacramento Kings has been suspended for the first five games of the upcoming season for failing a drug test. The belief is the drug was marijuana because Miller has failed two other drug tests during his career because of smoking the chronic. Puff, puff, give Brad!
Beasley Introduced to the NBA
Check out the video clip below which displays Michael Beasley of the Miami Heat being introduced to the NBA by former NC State stud Cedric Simmons who now plays for the Chicago Bulls. Beasley might have beeen embarassed by that block, but he did score 28 points in last night’s summer league game. The number one pick Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls only dropped 10 points and had 5 turnovers.
Somewhere Jack Sikma is Crying
The Seattle Supersonics are officially now a defunct NBA team. Owner Clay Bennett finally came to an agreement with the city of Seattle which will allow him to terminate the lease with Key Arena and move his team to Oklahoma City. Bennett will have to pay the city of Seattle $75 million, but he doesn’t care because he won the overall battle. The team will have to come up with a new name and colors because the Sonics name along with the green and yellow must stay. What will the new Oklahoma City franchise be called? The Drillers, Lariats, Thieves or something else? Thoughts or ideas?
Ray Allen Can Fly!
The Celtics absolutely broke the Lakers heart last night with a 24 point comeback in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The Celtics are now up 3-1 in the series so you can turn out the lights the party is over. I included a clip below of Ray Allen making an unbelievable reverse layup in the fourth quarter that in my opinion really took the wind out of the Lakers sails.
