It seems there might be some merit to the rumors that Shaquille O’Neal wants to take on Korean MMA fighter Hong-Man Choi based on this video of Shaq training. Choi is the 7-foot-2, 330-pound beast that beat the ever living will out of Jose Canseco a few weeks back. I can imagine the Suns would love for O’Neal to step in the ring since I’m sure it is a violation of his contract and we all know Phoenix is doing anything they can to unload his huuuuggggeee contract.
Gina Carano Is Back
Former EliteXC fighter Gina Carano has announced her signing with the MMA company Strikeforce. Carano is slated to take on Cris Cyborg August 15th on Showtime. This sets up the most anticipated women’s fight ever considering the Carano-Cyborg fight has been talked about since the two became prominent in the EliteXC’s women’s division during 2008. Carano is 7-0 and Cyborg is 7-1 and both are primarily standup fighters so it promises to be an action-packed bout. I have already added this fight to my calendar because I don’t want to miss Carano in action.

MLB Bets of the Day – June 17th, 2009
I really like Edwin Jackson pitching for the Tigers today plus they aren’t too bad on the road so I like them against the Cards. Secondly, the Cubs are 9-4 in the last 13 meetings against the White Sox so with Dempster going today in Wrigley I will go with the Cubs.

Cubs -140

Artie Lange on the Joe Buck Live Show
Last night was the premiere of the Joe Buck Live show last on HBO. Joe’s first guest was Brett Favre and I thought he did a good job of asking all the questions surrounding Brett’s possible return to the Minnesota Vikings. It was very evident Favre and the Vikings have been in cahoots for quite some time and Favre’s return to the NFL is inevitable. That being said, the show got much more interesting at the end when Joe Buck invited three comedians out for the final segment. Artie Lange from the Howard Stern Show didn’t hold back a bit and basically took over the show for the final few minutes. Joe Buck was very uncomfortable and unwilling to play along with Artie’s banter. One of the best parts of the second video clip is when Joe turns to Michael Irvin (in the crowd) and asks Michael how he should handle the situation. Classic comeback by Michael to say the least!

Chad Johnson Gets New Ink
Chad Johnson is never dull and even in the offseason he makes sure he is not forgotten by the public. Ocho Cinco decided to get himself a couple of new tattoos and to follow in the steps of Mike Tyson he tatted his face. Now it isn’t quite as drastic as “Iron Mike”, but they are on his face nonetheless. Johnson must really like his home state of Florida to have it permanently inked on his face! I have no idea what the next antic for Ocho Cinco will be, but I can assure you it will be something that gets people talking.

NBA Finals Bet of the Day – June 11th, 2009
It the Orlando Magic break the all-time record for field goal percentage in a NBA Finals game and they still can only beat the Lakers by four points then that makes me think they are in trouble. I’m going with the Lakers tonight in Game 4.
Lakers +2.5

Montana to Washington
The Washington Huskies football program has been struggling for quite some time, but things may just be turning around for the PAC-10 school. A few months ago the Huskies signed former USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian as their new head coach and today Washington announces the commitment of quarterback Nick Montana. Nick is the son of former football god Joe Montana and he currently plays high school football at Oak Christian in Oak Village, California. Nick is 6-1 and is rated as the 13th best quarterback in the nation by Scout.com and had offers from Georgia, Stanford, Ohio State, Alabama, LSU and of course Notre Dame. Washington finished up 0-12 last year under Ty Willingham so they need more and more of this type of good news.
MLB Bets of the Day – June 10th, 2009
I’m liking these three MLB picks a lot so I suggest you tail me if you need a little extra cizzash. King Felix will get the win for the Mariners and I love Harang against the Nationals.

Hank Baskett to be a Dad
Kendra Wilkinson the soon to be wife of Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett has announced she is pregnant. Wilkinson is a former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner and her and Baskett are set to be married at the Playboy mansion on June 27th. These days Wilkinson is a reality TV star appearing in the show The Girls Next Door and now in her own reality show Kendra which premiered this past Sunday and had record breaking numbers for the newtork E! I can only guess the huge numbers for the sure were in direct correlation with Baskett being on the show because let’s not forget he caught over 400 yards in passes this past season along with 3 touchdowns.
