Keith Eloi Might Have The Sickest Hops Ever

Keith Eloi is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska at Oklahoma where he played wide receiver for the football team in ’07 and ’08. Eloi is 5’10 and can run a 4.3 forty-yard dash and has a vertical of 41-inches, but went undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft. Eloi is currently trying to make the Redskins roster and if he really wants to get the coaches attention he might want to show them this video. Eloi literally jumps flat-footed with flip-flops on into a very large Ford F150 pick-up trunk bed. I still can’t get my mouth off the floor after watching this video.

Bad News Bonds

TMZ is reporting Barry Bond’s wife Liz Watson has filed for legal separation. This is the second marriage for Barry and it lasted a little over 10 years. The two have a 10-year old daughther together and Liz has filed for joint legal and physical custody along with a request for spousal support. This is just another blow in a long series of troubles for the fallen MLB star.

Stanley Cup Bet of the Day – June 9th, 2009

I’m not feeling overly confident about the Penguins tonight in Game 6 at Pittsburgh, but I don’t really want to bet against them either. I have decided to take the over tonight because the Red Wings are 7-1-1 in covering the over in their last 9 playoff games as an underdog.

Red Wings/Penguins over 5.5

Overall Record:

NBA 42-36
MLB 27-20-1
NHL 1-1
College Football 106-92-1
NFL 103-72-5
College Basketball 197-149-6

Phil Ivey Just Got Paid

Phil Ivey won his sixth World Series of Poker bracelet over the weekend in the 2009 WSOP Deuce-To-Seven tourney. The tourney isn’t one of the more popular tournaments at the WSOP, but Ivey ranked in close to $100k for the win. Overall this would be a no story for the most part if it wasn’t for the amount of money Ivey reportedly won from side wagers with other poker players. Word on the streets is Ivey won over $12 million from bets with the bracelet victory and is re-upping on his wagers that he will win another one this year. Check out more details on this ginormous victory from the article below at Tao of Poker.

NBA Finals Bet of the Day – June 7th, 2009

The Magic were 2-0 against the Lakers during the regular season and have played at a very high level all throughout this year’s NBA Playoffs. All the way up until the spanking they received Thursday night in LA to a tune of 100-75. While I do think they make adjustments tonight I don’t see them slowing down a focused Laker team. Take the Lakers!

Lakers -6.5

Overall Record:

NBA 42-35
MLB 27-20-1
NHL 1-1
College Football 106-92-1
NFL 103-72-5
College Basketball 197-149-6

Sheed To Join Cavs?

Rumors are swirling around Cleveland that the Cavaliers are very interested in signing former Detroit Piston Rasheed Wallace. The seasoned veteran would reportedly get about $10 million a year for two years if he was to sign with the Cavs. Sheed was an integral part of the 2004 World Champion Detroit Pistons and has had an impressive 14-year career in the NBA. It was painfully obvious in the Eastern Conference Finals that the Cavs big men were inept when it came to stopping Dwight Howard so the acquisition of Rasheed certainly wouldn’t hurt their inside presence. Rasheed is getting up there in age, but I truly think he could bring a nice edge to the Cavaliers that they currently don’t have on the roster.

Alex Rios Loves The Fans

In the world of professional sports you can be loved or hated at the drop of the hat. One day you hit the game winner and you are loved and then a couple of days later you are yesterday’s news. Check out this video of a fan calling Alex Rios of the Toronto Blue Jays a bum and the kind words Rios responds with before getting into his Benzo.

Stanley Cup Bet of the Day – June 6th, 2009

I know the Penguins looked very good in their last two home games at the Igloo, but don’t forget how great the Red Wings looked at home the first two games. Detroit is 49-17 in their last 66 games and considering they can’t be happy with the fact the series is tied up 2-2 I’m going with the Red Wings.

Red Wings -150

Overall Record:

NBA 42-35

More Sunday Night Football Shakeup

A couple of months ago John Madden announced he was retiring from Sunday Night Football and NBC quickly announced Cris Collinsworth as his predecessor. The loss of all-time great Madden isn’t the only change NBC dealt with this season because earlier this week they announced Jerome “The Bus” Bettis wouldn’t be back this coming season. Bettis won’t be replaced by just one person though after the announcement came that Tony Dungy and recently retired Rodney Harrison will now be part of of the team. Did they really need to add another person in the studio that is already filled with Bob Costas, Keith Olbermann, Dan Patrick, Tiki Barber and Peter King? If NBC keeps this up they will exceed the salary cap of a regular NFL team.

Bring Back the Mullet

When you think of the best mullet ever rocked in the MLB do you think of anyone else before Randy Johnson comes to my mind? His mullet during his younger years will go down in history as one of the best ever by a professional athlete. Turns out Randy Johnson has also made history in another way after winning his 300th Major League game yesterday. Johnson led the Giants to a 5-1 victory after pitching six innings and only allowing

Randy Johnson one earned run against the Washington Nationals. “The Big Unit” broke on the scene in 1988 and over his 21 year career he has won five Cy Young awards, made 10 All-Star appearances, pitched a perfect game, pitched a no-hitter and won a World Series while garnering a World Series Co-MVP. I think we should all appreciate Johnson for becoming the 24th pitcher to reach 300 wins because there won’t be another athlete reaching this milestone for a LOOOONNNNNGGGG time. For all those people that think Sabathia has a chance to reach 300 please put down the crack pipe and step away.
