The White Sox are 13-11 at home and the A’s are a putrid 9-17 so I’m taking the Sox in the first game of the night. In the second game I’m going to take the Mariners because Baltimore is really struggling on the road with a record of 8-16.

Check out this nearly avoided disaster by MotoGP racer Raffaele de Rosa after he comes unseated on his high-powered motor bike while going over 100 mph during practice in Italy. Raffaele had to have been scared out of his mind, but the video really shows the dramatic save by de Rosa and the impeccable concentration he has to avoid a terrible accident.

Fallen mixed martial arts star Kimbo Slice has been selected as one of the upcoming contestants for the UFC backed TV show The Ultimate Fighter. Kimbo became known as the bodyguard of the notorious Bang Brothers and then rose to a true internet stardom because of his brutal street fights served up on You Tube. Slice even went on to fight a couple of MMA matches for the now defunct Elite XC MMA Organization and it is widely known the reason Elite XC went down was due to Kimbo falling to a back-up fighter during the organization’s second TV show on CBS. This is probably Kimbo’s last big chance so he better take advantage of working with some of MMA’s best on The Ultimate Fighter.
If you were prefer to watch the June 21st airing of the Spike TV Guy’s Choice Awards then you probably don’t want to read this article. The awards ceremony was held this past Saturday May 30th and we felt very confident #5 SportsUnderground Sports Babe Allison Stokke was a lock to win the World’s Sexiest Athlete award. Well, unforunately that wasn’t the case, and in the end a 21-year old Serbian tennis player named Biba Golic won the prize. While Biba is a very pretty girl we feel there must have been some voting shenanigans going on since Stokke didn’t reign victorious.

The National Enquirer is reporting Jessica Simpson recently gave boyfriend Tony Romo a $100,000 speedboat for his birthday! Call me stupid, but where in the blue hell is Jessica getting $100,000 to drop on such a luxurious gift? Well, Jessica was able to scrounge up the cheddar somehow and Romo was quite pleased with the custom-made piece of machinery. I wonder if Romo now feels obligated to return the favor and propose to Jessica?
Maria Sharapova the #2 SportsUnderground Sports Babe is looking like her old self in her first major of 2009 at the French Open. Sharapova was the number one women’s tennis player in 2005, but due to injuries and possibly a lack of focus she has fallen to her current rank of #102 in the world. Coming into the French Open Sharapova had only played 3 matches all year, but she seems to have shaken off the rust at Roland-Garros over the last week. Maria has beaten two players ranked in the top 25 in the world and has advanced to the quarterfinals to face 20th ranked Dominika Cibulkova. We would like nothing more than to see Sharapova win her second French Open title, but it won’t be easy because if she can get by Cibulkova then she will more than likely face Dinara Safina the number one women’s tennis player in the world.
The Cubs are 17-7 in their last 24 Sunday games and 6-2 recently after a win in the previous game. I think Sean Marshall and the Cubs get it done tonight in Wrigley. Take the Cubbies!

SportsUnderground Sports Babe Simona Halep as we have previously mentioned is an upcoming women’s tennis star who has all the potential in the world. That is all good and well, but there is news out now that Halep thinks her 34DD chest is holding back her tennis abilities. “This fall I’ll have a breast reduction operation,” Simona said. “The breasts make me uncomfortable when I play.” Those could be the two saddest sentences I have ever read back-to-back. Let’s hope Simona Halep comes to her senses and changes her mind on the possible reduction.
Danielle Lloyd is the girlfriend of Tottenham (English Premier League) soccer player Jamie O’Hara and earlier this week she was thrown threw a glass table at a London night club. This might seem odd and out of sorts, but oddly enough this is the second time this has happend in the last month and the fourth time Danielle has been caught up in a vicious catfight. Two women were arrested in the most recent incident and are out on bail until July. It sounds to me like this girl really knows how to throw down. (no pun intended)
Lebron and the Cavs have their backs against the wall which would make you think they will come out fighting tonight in Cleveland. While I do think the Cavaliers will get a win tonight and take the series to Game 6 I do not think they cover the spread. Orlando seems to have the Cavs number and unless Cleveland’s inside game steps up this will be another close matchup. Take the Magic.
