LaMichael James Pinched

Freshman running back LaMichael James was incarcerated earlier today on charges of “strangulation, assault and menacing.” James was a lighting bolt in Oregon’s backfield this past year and was a sound replacement for LeGarrette Blount after he was kicked off the team for his sucker punch in the Boise State game. LaMichael scored 14 touchdowns and ran for 1,546 on 6.7 yards a carry which has many Oregon faithful believing he is going to be a superstar. It was only a few weeks ago that quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was cuffed on theft charges so something seems to be in the water these days up in Eugene. No one knows right now if any charges will stick on either player, but if they do the Ducks program could be in some trouble. Chip Kelly can’t be too proud of what is going down right now!

Tiger Tales Continue

We haven’t talked about Tiger in over a week which doesn’t bother us necessarily, but we couldn’t pass up the chance after we heard the latest buzz around the fallen golfer today. Porn star Joslyn James is claiming Mr. Woods impregnated her not once, but two times. To make matters worse these two alleged pregnancies took place at the same time Tiger’s wife Elin was pregnant as well. James is stating the first pregnancy led to a miscarriage around the same time Elin gave birth to their daughter during the summer of 2007. James also claims she aborted a second pregnancy very close to the same time Tiger’s son Charlie Axel was born in February of last year.

Now I understand it might be hard to believe the word of someone who starred in such films as “Shorty Iz F&$#in’ Yo Mama 2” and “Mama F&$#ed a Black Man”, but you just never know. Joslyn will be on “Inside Edition” tonight to drop the accusations to a national audience.
Tiger, I’m not sure if you are on the high seas, in New York, in South Africa, sex rehab, Florida, or somewhere in the middle of Kansas, but it’s time to face the music. Please come out of hiding and participate in an interview with Oprah or Larry King in order to set the record straight. This stuff has got to stop and it only will once you let it loose.

Languishing Longhorns

A little over three weeks ago the Texas Longhorns were flying high as the top college basketball team in the country at 17-0. Texas had beaten Texas A&M, Michigan State and UNC, but those wins were in the great state of Texas. Things aren’t looking as good these days for Rick Barnes and his boys. Since the middle of January Texas has lost three of four games on the road to UConn, Oklahoma, Kansas State also have lost two home games against Baylor and Kansas last night. Five losses in seven games have folks in Austin quite concerned and for good reason.

Barnes has to trim down his rotation of players because 10-11 is simply too much especially when you are cycling through three different point guards in a given game. The other key factor is to get Dexter Pittman more involved in the games. The human space eater has only taken 14 foul shots in the last seven games which has led to scoring in double digits only twice during the stretch. Dexter is so big he attracts double teams from opponents which would lead to more three-pointers for James, Hamilton and Brown. Earlier in the year I was extremely impressed with Texas and I still think they have a team that can make the Final Four, but changes need to be made.

Could Tiger Be Returning Soon?

Now that Tiger Woods is out of sex rehab you knew it was only a matter of time before rumors would start flying around when he will return to the PGA. One report has The Masters pegged as the date Tiger will return to the PGA. Woods is supposed to return to his home in Windmere next week and is reportedly going to play in the Tavistock Cup on March 22nd and 23rd. The Tavistock Cup is a golf tournament that pits professionals from the Isleworth Country Club against the pros from nearby Lake Nona Country Club. All of this is pure speculation at this time, but if The Masters is the actual event Tiger targets for his return then it will be without a doubt one of the most anticipated golf tournaments of all-time.
