Metrodome Roof Collapsing Video

The Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants play tonight at 7:20 EST at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The game was canceled yesterday due to the Metrodome’s roof collapsing after a huge blizzard hit Minneapolis. Check out this video footage of the roof collapsing.

Brett Favre’s Open Fly Jeans

In case you didn’t catch Saturday Night Live this past weekend we wanted to make sure you had the opportunity to see a hilarious skit about Brett Favre. Favre is in a lot of hot water right now for allegedly sending former Jet’s reporter Jenn Sterger pictures of Lil’ Favre so SNL decided to wrap that saga into a Wrangler commerical parody. Priceless!

Favre and Receivers Need Work

The main take away from the Vikings 14-9 loss to the Saints last night is Favre and his gaggle of receivers need some polishing. Favre’s failure to connect with his two primary receivers Bernard Berrian and Percy Harvin is the reason they lost the matchup. Favre depended heavily on Sidney Rice last year, but he is injured and Berrian catching one pass for 3 yards and Harvin catching one for 12 yards won’t get it done. Favre was 4-12 on all passes to wide receivers and if it wasn’t for Shiancoe’s catches in the first half and some dump down passes to the backs it would have been a very poor statistical outing for Brett. I believe with some more practice Favre and gang (watch out for Greg Camarillo) will find a groove, but they will need to soon because the schedule is tough.

Brett Favre is Retiring (maybe)

Many news outlets are reporting Brett Favre has informed Minnesota Vikings officials that he will not be playing for them in the 2010-11 season. He reportedly made this announcement via a text message which isn’t the most personable way to let an organization who is waiting on pins and needles for you to return know you are leaving them high and dry. Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels come on down because you are the next contestants to battle for the starting quarterback spot. Is this really the last of Favre watch?

Favre Officially Done?

That first sound you just heard was the huge sigh of relief from Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson because they now have a shot to be the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings after Favre announced he won’t be coming back. The other sounds you heard were Vikings fans dropping f-bombs because they can’t win the Super Bowl with either of those two jokers at the helm. Favre has told ESPN’s Ed Werder and Vikings head coach Brad Childress that he just can’t do it physically anymore so he would like to thank the Packers, Jets, Vikings and most importantly the fans. Is this really the end for Favre’s NFL career or is he actually Jason Voorhees and he never really dies?
