Where’s Waldo

I’m not sure if you can find me in this picture with Mario Williams, Stephen Tulloch, and Tank Tyler at the NCSU spring game today. I would be the smallest one in the picture, which, if you knew me, that would make the other guys in the picture THAT much more impressive. Let’s just say I ain’t tiny.

Drew Bledsoe Retires

grim reaper

The man with ‘concrete cleats’ has decided to hang them up after fourteen seasons.  The long time Patriot who also played with the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys is done with professional football and I’m sure won’t be a Tony Romo fan anytime soon.

Roger Goodell Just Ate Pacman Jones for Lunch

Pacman Jones

Each of our SportsUnderground peeps know how much we despise “King Thug” Adam Pacman Jones and it appears the NFL commissioner has had enough too. Goodell suspended Pacman for an entire year and Jones will have to apply for reinstatement at the end of the year. This will cost Pacman $1,292,500 which is his base salary with the Tennessee Titans or in Pacman’s terms an a$$ load of “making it rain” outings. This was a crucial step taken by Goodell and the NFL and hopefully will set the precedent to the other players it’s time to straighten up. Check out the previous posts linked  below to understand our feelings of Whackman Pacman.

Pacman Popped

SportsUnderground.com’s Dumb A$$ of the Week Award

Pacman Makes Me Puke

Pacman “Joke” Jones

In other hood rat news Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals was suspended for the first eight games of the coming season for his legal issues over the last year. He will also have to apply for reinstatement at the end of his suspension.

You can count of both of these guys appealing these suspensions, but lets hope the NFL doesn’t fold.

Ricky Williams Comeback?

Ricky Williams
Please Miami take me back!!!

Pacman Popped

Pacman JonesThe fuzz in Vegas have recommended to the district attorney that “King Thug” Pacman Jones be charged with one count of felony coercion and also misdemeanor counts of battery and threat to life for the Vegas strip club incident last month. I think our post last month Pacman Makes Me Puke says it all and now it’s also time for the NFL to agree with me. I hope before the end of the week we get final word that Pacman will be suspended for an entire year.

Schaub Shipped to Texans

Matt SchaubThe Atlanta Falcons traded their back-up quarterback Matt Schaub today to the Houston Texans today. The two teams will switch first-round picks this year and Houston will get Atlanta’s second round picks in ’07 and ’08. This shocks me because it basically states the Texans have given up on five-year vet David Carr. I understand Carr hasn’t gotten in done in Houston, but their offensive line couldn’t hold back some defenses in high school. Schaub is not nearly as mobile as Carr so this could be a train wreck in the making. I think Schaub has solid potential, but this doesn’t seem like the right place for him.

McGahee Traded to Ravens

Willis McGahee

Willis McGahee has been traded from Buffalo to the Ravens today for a third and seventh round pick this year along with a third round pick next year.  Shortly after the trade McGahee signed a seven year deal that could be worth over $40 million.  I think the Ravens have made a great acquisition because McGahee is a player who could really push them to the Super Bowl this coming year.  The Bills however are going to stink worse than they did this past year after trading Willis.  Does anyone else think Buffalo is a bunch of cheap skates?

“Jail”mal Lewis Signs with Browns

Jamal LewisThe Cleveland Browns signed running back Jamal Lewis yesterday for $3.5 million.  If he performs well he could earn around $5 million from the Brownies.  I’m not a big fan of this signing when you already have a hause in Reubuen Droughns plus you have been rumored to want Adrian Peterson in the draft.  Can someone please explain?

Bears Show Some Lovie

Lovie Smith

The Chicago Bears and Lovie Smith agree to a new four-year, $22 million extension that will allow Lovie to remain in Chicago through 2011. Smith stood behind the Bears stating all the while he would get a new deal and sure enough in the end he did. I would sure hope so considering the man was the lowest paid coach in the NFL and took his team to the Super Bowl. Nice move Chicago.

Broncos Black Cloud

Damien NashIt hasn’t even been two months since the Broncos lost cornerback Darrent Williams to a drive-by shooting and now comes the sad news of another loss. Reserve tailback Damien Nash collapsed and died yesterday after an appearance in a charity basketball game. The two-year veteran was playing in this event for his older brother who needs a heart transplant. Our thoughts are with the Nash family and the Broncos organization.
