Happy Friday the 13th kids. In honor of the PGA Championship this weekend at Whistling Straits we thought we would introduce you to Sophie Horn. Sophie is a 6-handicap golfer who also works as a model and personal trainer. Wonder if Tiger has had a workout with her. You should also check out www.sophiehorn.com. Have a great weekend!

Jim Gray Will Take You Down

Reporter Jim Gray confronted U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Corey Pavin yesterday after Pavin tweeted, “For the record, @golfchannel and Jim Gray has misquoted me re: picking Tiger. I never said such a thing and will not say a thing until 09/07.” Diminutive Gray confronted Pavin after a Ryder Cup press conference hosted by Pavin and European Captain Colin Montgomerie. Gray accused Pavin of being a liar, poked his chest and let Pavin know he was “going down.” Pavin isn’t the biggest guy around, but I bet it took all he could do to not cold cock Gray right on the spot. Has Gray’s head inflated even larger after hosting “The Decision” with LeBron James?

MLB Bets of the Day – August 12th, 2010

The Orioles winning ways continue so rest assured we won’t be jumping off until they cool off. Like the Mets tonight because the Rockies are 4-22 in their last 26 at New York and Santana is on the mound. Good luck!

Laettner and Davis Down-and-Out

Based on court records in Maryland San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman is suing BD Ventures for a substantial amount of cash. BD Ventures is backed by former Dookies Brian Davis and Mr. NCAA Christian Laettner. Merriman’s company extended a loan back in 2007 to BD Ventures that should have been paid in full last year, but wasn’t and now S.M. Real Estate (Merriman’s company) is requesting $3.64 million along with $998.76 a day in interest. Laettner has testified in a deposition that he knows they owe Merriman money, but stated that isn’t possible to pay up right now due to the economy.

MLB Bets of the Day – August 11th, 2010

The Orioles are now 7-1 under Showalter so why get off the bandwagon now. Jered Weaver faces Zack Greinke in an excellent pitching matchup, but look for the Angels to prevail. Good luck!

Strasburg Returns

Nationals pitching phenom Stephen Strasburg is off the 15-day DL and will pitch tonight against the Florida Marlins. Strasburg’s first trip to the DL was based on a little tightness in his pitching shoulder which was later diagnosed as inflammation. The Nationals have made it very clear that they are going to be extremely cautious with their ‘future’ in hopes of avoiding any major arm injuries. The number-one pick in the 2009 MLB Draft is 5-2 with 75 strikeouts, 15 walks and 2.32 ERA in his frist nine starts with the Nationals. I’m happy to hear he is back on the mound this evening and it should be a good show.
