College Football Bet of the Day – December 18th, 2009

The FCS Championship game is on tonight and it pairs up Villanova and Montana. Montana is 14-0 and Nova is 13-1 with their only loss to New Hampshire on the road. The Grizzlies are good, but I like Nova to win the game and the National Championship.

Villanova -2.5

Well Said Clinton Portis

Clinton Portis has done some zany things over the years and quite frankly hasn’t come across as the sharpest or sanest person in our opinion. Well, we no longer think these things and actually we now think Clinton Portis very well might be a genius. Portis has a weekly appearance on an ESPN radio show in DC and recently rather than asking Clinton about how he is doing since his concussion the host decided to ask him about his thoughts on Tiger Woods. Portis went on to share these thoughts and I couldn’t agree with him more.

“I say don’t get married, if it’s not out of your system. I’m not married. You know, I would love to be able to say, I’m a perfect guy, yeah, baby, yeah. I’m not. You know, I’m gonna have temptations. If I find the temptation worth fulfilling, I’m gonna fulfill my temptation. If that ends up getting me in trouble at times, you know, I’ll deal with it then. But right now I’m not married, and I’m 28 years old, and I’m gonna enjoy my life … If he could keep that a secret and ain’t nobody came out and told [on him], hey, congratulate him. You know, most of the time there’s one or two, and you can’t keep that a secret. So if he can balance 14 and keep it a secret, congrats.”

Tiger might make a lot more money than Clinton Portis, but he really should have sought counsel with him before getting married to Elin.

Hit the Road Kate Hudson

There are tons of big stories popping up around Major League Baseball in the last few days, but are there any stories bigger than K-Hud and A-Rod splitting for good? Yes, Roy Halladay is getting traded to the Phillies and I know Cliff Lee is headed to Seattle yet those stories just seem to pale in comparison. A friend of Kate told US Magazine that the couple was kaput and People magazine caught Rodriguez partying at an Armani shindig over the weekend down in Miami. Whispers from people who attended the party said A-Rod was all hugged up with a blonde for most of the night. Is there any chance Elin Nordegren has constructed the almighty master plan to get back at Tiger? Obviously that is a bad joke, but boy would it be pure gold if it happened. A-Rod never takes long to move on and I can assure you Kate Hudson will be swapping spit with some other high profile athlete/musician very soon.

NFL Bet of the Day – December 14th, 2009

Tonight we have an interesting Monday Night Football matchup between the Cardinals and the 49ers. The Cardinals are 8-4 ATS this year and the road team is 8-0 ATS in their last eight meetings. It just a week ago that the Cardinals trashed the Vikings on national TV so don’t be surprised to them come out tonight hitting on all cylinders. Take the Cards!

Jamie Jungers Tells All on Tiger

Lingerie model Jamie Jungers talked with Meredith Viera on the Today show earlier this morning about her hanky-panky with Tiger Woods. Jungers claims to have had an 18-month affair with Tiger and was quite smitten with the famous golfer. Jungers refuted reports that she is an escort and that Tigger paid for a liposuction for her a few years back. The affair was eventually stopped by Jungers after Tiger refused to give her any cash when she asked for some help to get back on her feet. Sounds like Tiger liked to get down with Jamie, but when push came to shove he wasn’t parting with any of his cash to keep the relationship afloat.

Ugly Stat of the Year in the NFL

In case you didn’t hear last night the Cleveland Browns scored their first rushing touchdown of the season by a running back. Which means it took the Brownies over three months and their 13th game to push the ball across the plane into the end zone while running the ball. That is a revolting 49 meaningless quarters of aimlessly wandering around a football field and never succeeding in one of the most important goals of the game. Take all that into consideration and then factor in the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to Cleveland last night 13-6! This comes on the heels of a loss to Raider Nation the week before at Heinz Field. All Terrible Towels must be neatly folded and placed in the closet until the 2010 season.

One other little stat nugget. The Cleveland Browns quarterbacks have completed a TOTAL of 8 passes in their two wins this year. PUKE!

Skins Fan Loses Bet then Saints Fans Wreak Havoc on His TV

If this isn’t the biggest white trash hoedown you have ever seen then I want you to produce video of the incident or else I won’t believe it. This home video shows what happened to a Redskins fan after he made a very stupid bet with all of his New Orleans Saints friends. The Skins fan bet that if they lost to the Saints that they could come over and have target practice on his 60’ flat screen television. He almost got lucky and was able to keep his beloved television until Shaun Suisham missed a 23-yard field goal that led to the Saints winning in overtime. Well, it didn’t take long for his country bumpkin friends to head over to the house with firearms and a lot of Keystone Light ready to take out the TV. I think my favorite Saints fan is the one who has the Saints logo on the back of his head with cut-off jeans over some Miley Cyrus printed thermal underwear with a gun that could kill an elephant. It doesn’t get much better than this my friends!
