This is a week late, but I want to make sure and give a big shout out to Keith “Mississippi” Langston. Last week at Orange County speedway Langston the lead driver of Mississippi Motorsports basically was first in the race wire-to-wire. Congratulations Keith!
No #8 for You
It is official now that Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not be taking the #8 with him to Hendrick Motorsports. His stepmother Teresa Earnhardt made ridiculous demands all throughout the negotiations because in all reality she simply didn’t want Jr. to have the number. Teresa continues to show how much of a b$%ch she really is!

Keith Langston is Our Hero
SportsUnderground.com’s favorite racer as we have discussed before is Keith Langston of Pittsboro, NC. We finally had the opportunity to watch him in person this past weekend at Orange County Speedway and it was a blast. Langston had to start from the back of the pack, but that didn’t last long at all. Langston of Mississippi Motorsports was in first place by the second lap and was driving like a man on a mission. There were times when he was driving extremely high on the 3/8 mile track to maintain his lead and it looked as if he was going to bring home the checkered flag until the clutch went out. Regardless of the outcome he represented SportsUnderground.com in excellent fashion. Langston will be back at it again tomorrow night in South Boston, Virginia and we wish him the best.Â
Keith Langston Brings It Home
SportsUnderground.com’s favorite racer Keith Langston won the race this past Saturday at Orange County Speedway. Congratulations to Keith Langston and Mississippi Motorsports on this crowning achievement.
Earnhardt Jr. Joins Hendrick Racing
This is a very sad day for me and I’m sure many other Little E fans feel the same. It was hard enough dealing recently with the fact he was leaving his father’s company DEI, but that was a necessary move due to his stepmother’s obstinance. Today though came the announcement of Jr. joining Hendrick Racing which is a much harder blow to deal with than ever expected. I understand he wanted to go to a team that would allow him to win, but he is now teammates with Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson…UGGHHH!!! He will take the place of Kyle Busch and I assume he will begin driving the #5 car? Anyway, it’s time to go get a case of Budweiser and wash these sorrows away.

Keith ‘Mississippi’ Langston – Racing News
Our favorite racer Keith Langston had two races this past weekend at South Boston Speedway and below is a summary of his results. Keith’s first race of Saturday evening started off with him on the pole and he led for about 5 laps, but for some reason his car just wasn’t handling properly. Langston of Mississippi Motorsports held on for dear life and finished the first race with a solid showing in sixth place.
In the second race he started in third, but fell back in the pack very early on in the race. ‘Sippi’ climbed his way back up into the top five until he was involved in a crash late in the race. The crash hurt his chances severely dropping him to 12th, but in ten laps he rallied back for a fifth place finish.
All in all a sixth and fifth place showing is very respectable and Keith is looking forward to racing the twin races set for this Saturday at Orange County Speedway.
New Home for Little E
We are supposed to find out tomorrow where Dale Earnhardt Jr. will land after announcing his departure from DEI. I have heard so many theories and guesses at where he will land I won’t even venture to take a guess myself. I am looking forward to the news and can only hope he doesn’t land on the same team with Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson.
Keith Langston – Mississippi Motorsports
We are always taking on new partners and sponsors, but from time to time we like to promote others. One of the new ventures SportsUnderground.com is taking on is Keith Langston and Mississippi Motorsports. Keith Langston races weekly at Orange County Speedway (Rougemont, NC) or South Boston Speedway (South Boston, VA) and moving forward we will give updates on how our official racer performs. Stay tuned for news and updates on Keith Langston in the coming weeks!
Indianapolis 500 2007
Racings greatest spectacle is back for another Memorial Day weekend event and I’m stoked. I rarely watch any auto racing outside of Nascar, but I really enjoy the 500. Sam Hornish Jr. is the reigning champion after one of the best Indy 500 races ever last year. I like Tony Kanaan to break through today and win the 500 although I would be equally as pleased if Danica Patrick pulled it out.
Ladies and gentlemen….start your engines!
