Keith “Mississippi” Langston is becoming quite the attraction these days in Pure Stock racing at Orange County Speedway. Langston won his second race in a row at OCS over the holiday weekend and is beginning to break away from the other drivers in the point standings. If you aren’t on his bandwagon yet you better hop aboard soon because there isn’t much more room left on the wagon. Langston is a supreme driving talent and would be a huge asset to any Late Model series team looking to step up their team. Congrats Sippi!
Langston Finishes Third
Keith “Sippi” Langston started out third this past weekend at Orange County Speedway and ultimately finished the Pure Stock race in third. This was actually an amazing accomplishment considering he suffered serious damage to the front end of his car in the race. Sippi continues to do big things at OCS and we expect to see him as the points winner at the end of the season.

Keith Langston Still in First
Keith “Sippi” Langston qualified 8th out of 11 Pure Stock racers this past Saturday and rallied his way to a fourth place finish at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina. The fourth place finish kept Langston and Missisippi Motorsports in 1st place in the points standings at OCS by 14 points. Keep it up Sippi!
Keith Langston Update
SportsUnderground.com’s favorite racer was in action again this past weekend, but this time he was at South Boston Speedway. Keith “Mississippi” Langston had clutch issues again and didn’t have the opportunity to get in any practice before qualifying. That being said “Sippi” was able to qualify 13th out of 19 to give him a fighting chance. As usual, Langston drove his aggressive manner and was able to pull out a fifth place finish. Langston will be back at Orange County Speedway this coming weekend and will be focused on keeping his points lead. Nice work at SOBO Keith!
Keith Langston Prevails
Keith “Mississippi” Langston of Mississippi Motorsports won the 20-lap Purestock scramble this past Saturday at Orange County Speedway. Langston started outside the pole and was in first place after only one lap. Issues arose on lap 3 during a caution when Langston’s clutch broke, but he was able to overcome these problems and bring it home for victory. Langston leads the points race at this juncture in the season and should be in contention for a championship run. this year Congrats Sippi and thanks for the shout out after the race!
Danica’s Delight
After a lot of hype and maybe even more skepticism Danica Patrick has become the first woman ever to win a Indy car race. Danica won the Japan 300 in her 50th career race. This should take a lot of pressure off of Danica and remember the Indianapolis 500 is just a little over a month away.
Mississippi Motorsports Update
Keith “Mississippi” Langston strutted his stuff this past weekend at Orange County Speedway in his first full Purestock race of the year. Langston had some car problems in his initial race of ’08 a few weeks ago, but came back this week in positive fashion by finishing 5th out of 16 racers Saturday evening after starting out 8th. Well done Sippi!

Indy 500 Winner Means NASCAR Contract
The winner of the 2007 Indianapolis 500 Dario Franchitti has signed a multi-year deal with Gnassi Racing. Franchitti also won the Indy Series Championship so this is a huge blow to the racing circuit. Franchitti will race in the #40 Dodge and could race as soon as Homestead at the end of the year. Franchitti’s significant other is Ashley Judd so I’m sure we will see more of her on NASCAR Sunday’s in the coming years. 🙂
New Rumors on Earnhardt’s Number Next Year
We previously reported that Dale Earnhardt Jr. would run in #38, but it now appears he will double his old number and run with #88. I like both options and I’m anxious to see what the final determination will be.
