Da Bears Aren’t Bringing Sexy Rexy Back

Rex Grossman

The Chicago Bears FINALLY have decided to bench quarterback Rex Grossman after relentless pressure from fans and the media. Grossman has been putrid at best this year so they will now turn to veteran Brian Griese to right the ship. This is probably the end of the line for Grossman in Chicago and I don’t think Chi-town will miss him when he’s gone.

The New Orleans Aints

New Orleans Aints

It appears the Saints have returned to the franchise we all loved and adored in the 80’s after losing last night to the Titans on Monday Night Football. They are 0-3 and have also lost Deuce McAllister for the year due to an ACL injury. Drew Brees has 7 interceptions and the defense looks like they can’t beat their way out of a wet paper bag. What a shame after such a breakout year in ’06.

Oklahoma State Coach Goes Coo-coo

Mike Gundy the head coach of Oklahoma State had something to get off his chest in the press conference after a 49-45 win over Texas Tech this past weeekend. Check out the video clip below of Coach Gundy having a conniption about a news article written on one of his players in the Daily Oklahoman. I think the root of his anger isn’t about what is being said about his player and more about the fact a woman was the one who ripped them. Just my humble opinion.

Graham Harrell threw for an astonishing 646 yards yesterday against Oklahoma State. Harrell threw five touchdowns along with all those yards, but the Red Raiders still lost the game 45-49. The 646 yards place Harrell as fourth best all-time in most yards thrown in one game. Three of the top five are from Texas Tech and played under offensive guru Mike Leach. Below is a list of the top five with David Klingler leading the way with 716.
