Weasel, Snake, Saban, Petrino…Same Difference

With all due respect to Stonecold, I hope Petrino falls flat on his face.  It’s one thing to want to move up the “coaching ladder”, take a more prestigious job, and ultimately make a ton more cash.  But if you think those kind of moves are in your future, don’t sign a LONG term contract.  Less than a year into a 10 year contract, Petrino decided to take his dog and pony show to another city, leaving kids who had committed to him and Louisville holding the bag.  COMMITTED.  I bet you Petrino couldn’t spell that with two hands and a dictionary (I’d even let Nicky Saban help him).  He can claim all he wants that he was not actively pursuing the job, and that may be technically true.  But when your agent is shopping you this early into your contract, you can bet he wasn’t doing it on his own.  If there was 1 year left on the contract, the agent would just be doing his job, however this is just wrong.  Petrino lied to those who signed him to a contract.  He lied to the kids who he told I’ll be here for the long haul.  He lied to the community and city of Louisville by selling them a bill of goods he had no intention of providing if he could help it.  He is just that….a liar.  So yeah, I hope he falls on his face in Atlanta.

The Falcons have told Little Bobby that he would be able to make the long term decision on Mike Vick as well.  If he thinks Vick can play the position for the Falcons, they will keep him.  If he has doubts, they will try to trade him.  My question is, how the hell will Petrino be able to make any decision dealing with long term.  His promises are only good as long has the end of his nose….fortunately for him, it appears to be getting longer every day.  Good day and piss off Petrino.

Petrino to Falcons

Bobby PetrinoThe former head coach of the Louisville Cardinals has decided to take over the Atlanta Falcons.  Petrino who has flirted with the NFL before feels like the head coaching job of the Falcons is the best in the NFL.  I look forward to seeing if he continues to feel this way when Vick is having his normal inconsistent issues and the owner is breathing down his neck for better overall performance.  I wish you luck Bobby and I really will miss watching your high powered college offense.

NFL MVP Announced

LaDainian Tomlinson

LaDainian Tomlinson of the San Diego Chargers stood above the rest this year in the NFL. Tomlinson broke Shaun Alexander’s league record with 31 touchdowns overall and 28 of them were rushing TD’s. Don’t forget he also threw for two touchdowns this year and he led the Chargers to an AFC best 14-2. LT is the epitomy of class and no one deservers this award more than him.

Nick Satan

Nick Saban

You lied to us countless times and are a coward for not finishing a job you took on with the Miami Dolphins. Good luck in Alabama and may you lose the next eight Iron Bowl games to Auburn!!! Maybe once you feel like betraying Bama maybe you can become a politician.

****Update****

Hope Stonecold doesn’t mind my invading his post, but I couldn’t resist.  This is GREAT!!!

NFL Rookies of the Year

Vince Young of the Tennessee Titans runs away the offensive Rookie of the Year with Marques Colston and Maurice Jones-Drew tying for a very distant second place.

Vince Young

DeMeco Ryans of the Houston Texans blew away the competition for defensive Rookie of the Year. Ryans a linebacker from Alabama led the league in solo tackles with 126 and totaled 156 tackles on the year.

Saban Watch

Nick SabanWe will know by 10 am tomorrow if Nick Saban will actually leave South Beach and go back to the college ranks with Alabama. I know they are throwing the Crimson Tide Credit Union at you Nick, but wouldn’t you rather be in the land of the beautiful rather than the land of the ugly? Things definitely haven’t gone as you had hoped so far with the Dolphins, but not so sure the grass is greener on the other side!

Dennis Green

Happy New Year’s Dennis Green. You have just been fired by the Arizona Cardinals. Three years in Arizona with records of: 6-10, 5-11, 5-11. There was a lot of promise in Tempe, but no follow through and Green is now the seventh coach since 1988 when the Cardinals moved to Arizona. Who wants to be the next coach to enter the abyss?

Jim Mora Buh Bye!

Jim Mora Jr.We all knew this firing was coming specifically after Jim Mora Jr.’s radio interview stating he would leave the Falcons even in the middle of the playoffs to coach the Washington Huskies. It didn’t help the cause that his Falcons lost seven of the last nine games this season and finished with the worst record under Mora’s tenure. Mora finished his tumultuous three year tenure with the Falcons at 26-22.  I would be very surprised if interested teams are knocking at Mora’s door after a lot of the turmoil he caused this year.  I could be biased though because I look at Jim Mora as a pompas, arrogant egotistical a$$.
