Yao To Phoenix Might Make Sense

Poor Yao Ming is again done for the season due to an injury to his 7’6 frame. Yao has now played six seasons in the NBA and outside of his first year he hasn’t had a complete season. Ming played in 80 games in his second year, 57 in third, 48 in fourth, 55 in fifth and 77 games this year before breaking his foot in Game 3 against the Lakers last week.

So why are we proposing Yao to the Suns you might ask? Well, they must have the best trainers in the NBA if not in all of professional sports. This season Grant Hill played the entire regular season and Hill has never once played a full 82-game season until this year. This by itself is an absolute miracle that Hill who quite possibly might have the weakest ankle ever was able to get through an entire season. Secondly, Shaq Diesel played in 75 games this year which is the most Kazaam has played in since he played in 79 games for LA back in the 2000 season.

I’m not sure how the Suns could pull this trade off, but an idea might be Yao and McGrady for Amare Stoudemire, Leandro Barbosa and Matt Barnes. The bottom line is Yao is extremely talented and if he could only stay healthy he could definitely take a team to a world title.

NBA Bet of the Day – May 9th, 2009

The Cavaliers continue to dominate so I will keep taking them until they do me wrong. I’m a little leery for the first time in these Playoffs to take Cleveland just because Atlanta is very good at home and they have to win Game 3 to have any chance in the series.

Cavs -8.5

MLB 25-16-1
NHL 0-1

The Cleveland Cavaliers have covered 9 games in a row and 10 out of their last 11. I will continue to ride this horse until it does me wrong.

NBA Bet of the Day – May 6th, 2009

The reigning NBA Champs cannot go down two games to none in Boston against Orlando so I will take the Celts.

NBA Bets of the Day – May 4th, 2009

I’m going with the two teams who battled out it out in The NBA Finals last year. I expect to see the Celtics focused tonight in order to take the all important Game 1 of their series against the Magic. Taking the Lakers because they play very very well in LA.

Celtics -2.5
Lakers -8.5

NBA 35-28
MLB 25-16-1
NHL 0-1
College Football: 106-92-1

Please Win Boston….

…Cus I cant continue to see this mug on TV anymore

newnoahBeing a Lakers fan I cant believe what I am saying, but if I have to deal with a 41-41 Bulls team and of course Joakim Noah for another 10 days I will freak out.

This series actually has been very entertaining. It has a long way to go to beat the 2002 Lakers v Kings shootout that had the winner inked as World Champs.

Josh Smith Getting Jiggy

Check out this video of Josh Smithdunking all over Jermaine O’Neal in Game 5 last night against the Miami Heat. Josh is definitely one of the best dunkers currently in the NBA and this video is definitive proof.

NBA Bets of the Day – April 29th, 2009

I have to take the Nuggets for the simple fact they smacked the Hornets around in New Orleans just two nights ago. I know 10.5 is a lot in the Playoffs, but I will roll the dice. Wade and the Heat will get under the 5.5 they are getting from the Hawks.

Nuggets -10.5
Heat +5.5

I’m Fed Up With KG

Has anyone else observed Kevin Garnett excessively hooting and hollering from the sidelines during the Celtics and Bulls series? It is one thing when he would taunt and bark at other players while healthy and on the court, but now he is off the chain from the sidelines. KG is constantly flapping his gums and making ridiculous mad faces from the bench and I have become more frustrated each game with his antics. Last night though I finally had enough of Garnett after Rondo’s questionable foul at the end of the Game 5 on Brad Miller. Miller ended up bloody and seemed quite dazed from the hard foul, but he still had to try and gather himself in order to shoot two free throws. The Bulls were down by two with two seconds left and not surprisingly Miller missed the first free throw. Garnett saw this as an opportunity to yell at the top of his lungs that Miller is a choker and of course he included every four letter word in the book during his tirade.

KG might want to take a step back and think about the fact the Bulls lost as many games this year as they one yet they are giving the Celtics a whale of a series. Secondly, he might want to think about the fact Miller probably saw stars rotating around the basket due to Rondo’s foul. I think it would be great if Garnett would quit showing his a$$ and instead sit on it for the rest of the Playoffs because he is really tarnishing his image. I’m done with him already, but others are sure to follow suit if he continues his moronic ways!
