Barry Bonds News F$&%in Flash

Barry BondsThe New York Daily News has reported Barry Bonds failed a drug test last year due to intake of amphetamines.  I can’t believe Barry Bonds and performance enhancing drugs are linked again.  Sadly enough this was the first the San Francisco Giants organization had heard of the news since the first drug test failure for amphetamines is not reported due to the MLB collective bargaining agreement.  I hope this ends the $16 million dollar one year agreement and more importantly Bonds career.  I can’t handle much more of this bull#$it drama.

Say it ain’t Sosa!!!

Sammy Sosa

Word out of the Dominican Republic is Sammy Sosa feels great and thinks he might be able to play another three to four years in the Major League. Sosa is attempting a comeback and says teams are already contacting him for his services. I really hope when all is said and done that no one signs this hack and good riddance to you Sammy!

Going to the Wells

Vernon Wells

The Toronto Blue Jays definitely believe Vernon Wells is one of the top talents in all of Major League Baseball and they are willing to pay the price. The Jays and Wells have agreed to a seven-year $126 million deal. It’s the sixth largest deal ever in MLB and $25.5 million is his signing bonus. I don’t know where Toronto finds the money to pay these deals when the Sky Dome seems to be vacant during home games, but they definitely pulled a rabbit out of their hat for this deal. I wish you luck Vernon because you have a 126 million reasons for fans to boo you if you don’t continue to produce.

Red Sox Land Daisuke Matsuzaka

Daisuke Matsuzaka

After paying over $50 million just to talk with Daisuke Matsuzuka the Red Sox have been scrambling to sign the Japanese star pitcher. It appears Sox fans can take a sigh of relief because reportedly a deal has been struck for six years at $52 million. There are escalator clauses that could bring it up to $60 million. All in all Boston has paid $100 million for someone who has never pitched in a MLB game. I know this was a stressful few weeks trying to sign Matsuzuka, but I would even be more stressed that he will never be able to live up to the money spent on him.

Bonds is a Beeotch!!!

Barry BondsLet me try and get this straight for all my peeps and more importantly myself. This jabroni has walked and talked like his shihite didn’t stink since he was part of the Killer Bees squad back in the days with the Pittsburgh Pirates. (reminder – he was a whopping 124 wet and wearing boots in the Steel City) He has been a menace to the media and basically a royal A-hole for his entire career, but even more so in recent years due to the recent steroids phenomenon. Bonds has been trying to defend his home run title and stature even though he has resembled Mr. Potato Head for many years.

Things seemed to have changed recently with Bond’s character because it appears not many teams want him on their squad this year. He is now personally down in Florida at the MLB winter meetings trying to pimp himself because transvestites with herpes are more wanted than his sorry A$$. It sure seems the Giants are the only team that will ultimately bring this cancer on as a player.  The reason they will torture themselves is because it’s the only way the Giants can fill their stadium in ’07. San Francisco is going to blow chunks so why not re-sign him so your fans can possibly watch Bonds break Hank Aaron’s home run record. I have only begun my Bonds tirades because I DO NOT want to watch him break the record. Stay tuned because this doesn’t even scratch the surface of my venom.

Chicago Cubs Splurge

Alfonso Soriano

Alfonso Soriano is now a Chicago Cub and also one of the richest players in Major League Baseball. The Cubs gave Soriano the fifth largest contract in MLB history at $136 million for eight years. I generally start getting dizzy at the thought of someone getting paid that much money to play a sport, but this time it didn’t happen. I actually felt like the clouds parted and the sun shined down on Wrigley Field and all Cubs fans. Chicago needs help in a big way and Soriano is one of the most solid offensive weapons in the League. I have personally been a Cub fan since childhood and other than a shooting star year here and there they pretty much have stunk. Alfonso is one huge step in the right direction along with the recent re-signings of Aramis Ramirez and Kerry Wood. In this world of high paid players not many are worth this type of cash, but I have to admit Soriano is a player who truly is top notch.

Dirtgate in Game 2 of World Series

Kenny Rogers

Did Kenny Rogers cheat is the question swirling the day after the Tigers won game two 3-1. I would say by the pictures and footage I have seen he most certainly did in the first inning of last night’s game and also in previous ones during the playoffs. The substance he had on his left hand is not “a big clump of dirt” that Rogers called it, but it does look like pine tar. St. Louis Cardinals batters said the ball was doing some crazy things in the first inning when the suspicion was sparked. The funny thing was the second inning the substance was gone and Rogers still mowed down Cardinal hitters. Shame on you Kenny, but you were at least smart enough to get rid of it in quick fashion. I can assure you this won’t be the last time we hear about this little ordeal.

Breaking Story: Kenny Rogers

Go Major League Baseball!

I’m not sure what was a bigger surprise when I learned MLB owners and players have agreed on a new five-year labor deal. Is it the fact I personally hadn’t heard any complaining from either side or the fact they agreed without waiting until the last hours before work stoppage like 2002? I really think you could debate either point and it would be hard to say your wrong, but the bottom line is MLB didn’t bicker about who is the richest for the first time in a long time. I commend the players and the owners today for taking the high road this time rather than the normal pathetic contest of who can piss farther.

Steve Lyons Fired from FOX

Steve Lyons

The baseball analyst Steve Lyons has been fired from FOX for making racial comments live during an ALCS game. When will analysts learn there are some things better left unsaid?

You will me missed Cory Lidle

Cory LidleCory Lidle crashed his plane yesterday into an apartment building on the East Side of Manhattan yesterday. Lidle was the pilot and his pilot instructor both passed away.  The well respected MLB pitcher played on seven MLB teams with the Yankees being his latest team. God bless his family during this tragic time.
