Kardashians = Rings

Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson recently made an interesting point from his Twitter account on the Kardashian clan. Lawson tweeted, “I heard if u hit a kardashian i win a championship.. Kim k holla me!!! I need ya for 17 min.” Lawson might be on to something because Khloe and Kim Kardashian both hit the jackpot this year with Lamar Odom winning a NBA title and Reggie Bush winning the Super Bowl. Kim and Reggie are no longer together, but she has since moved on to Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin so is Dallas the next Super Bowl champion? Lawson went on to tweet, “I’ll take one for the team lol,” “If miles Austin miles or wateva his name is win a chip next yr … Then thing is amazing.”

Since Kim and Khloe are preoccupied right now Ty you could always take up with the other sister Kourtney!

NBA Finals Bet of the Day – June 17th, 2010

The Celtics and Lakers come down to the all important Game 7 tonight in the 2010 NBA Finals. The Lakers wore out the Celtics in Game 6 so Vegas has set the line at Lakers by seven for this final game. I have to take the Lakers at home because the Celtics looked totally inept last game without Kendrick Perkins down low. Good luck!

Lakers -7

Vuvuzelas Gone Wild

If you have watched a World Cup game in the past week you have without a doubt noticed the ominous bee swarm sound surrounding the TV coverage. The sound you hear actually isn’t the largest swarm of bees to ever sync up rather they are horns called vuvuzelas which are a South African staple at soccer games. These funny looking horns emit 127 decibels which exceeds 125 decibels the threshold for human pain. While most spectators are thoroughly disgusted with the noise pollution two earplug suppliers from South Africa are reaping the benefits in a major way. Sheppard Medical and Ear Plugs Online have sold almost a half million since last Friday and there is still over three weeks to go. Even if ESPN or other networks try to filter out the pollution for TV coverage the earplug companies should have no problem peddling their goods due to those lovely vuvuzelas.

NBA Finals Bet of the Day – June 15th, 2010

Tonight is a crucial game 6 at the Staples Center in LA. The Celtics have two straight for the first time in the series and seem to be in control of their destiny. The Lakers should win and push the NBA Finals to a game 7. Good luck!

NBA Finals Bet of the Day – June 13th, 2010

The Lakers and Celtics series so far has been a joy to watch and neither team has been able to win more than one in a row to date. That trend continues tonight because LA steals another one in Boston. Good luck!

Staggering Strasburg

Coming into Stephen Strasburg’s first Major League start last night there seemed to be more hype than what surrounded the release of ‘New Coke’ or ‘Sega Genesis’ many moons ago. Even with all the hoopla and what seemed to be an inevitable let down Strasburg exceeded expectations of not only the Nationals, but everyone else who watched as well. The Nationals stud rookie KO’ed a stunning fourteen batters from the Pittsburgh Pirates (I know you are thinking, but it’s the Pirates) and allowed a meager two runs in seven innings pitched. Keep in mind the most strikeouts by a pitcher this year was fourteen and Strasburg could have had more if he remained in the game considering he erased the last seven batters her faced on strikes. Strasburg will pitch again on June 13th in Cleveland and the Indians are already expecting an increase of at least 10,000 tickets sold. The Nationals need Strasburg to live up to his potential in almost every way in order to solidify a very shaky franchise, but Major League Baseball could also enjoy a substantial windfall from the Strasburg phenomenon as well.

Stanley Cup Bet of the Day June 9th, 2010

The Blackhawks beat up the Flyers in Game 5 and skated to an easy 7-4 win. Tonight the Blackhawks could hoist the Stanley Cup if they pull of a W in Philly, but they will have to wait. Flyers win. Good luck!

Flyers -115

NBA Finals Bet of the Day – June 8th, 2010

Vegas is definitely trying to make a statement with the Celtics only favored by 2 1/2 tonight at home against the Lakers. While I do agree the Lakers will give the Celtics all they want I think the Celts get it done tonight in Boston. Good luck!
