Big Buzz Around the Hornets

James Posey

The New Orleans Hornets were seconds away from the Western Conference Finals this past season and definitely was one of the most improved teams in the NBA outside of the World Champion Boston Celtics. Well, the Hornets took a big step today in further improving their squad with the signing of unrestricted free agent small forward James Posey. Posey won a ring with the Celtics this past season and also won one in 2006 with the Miami Heat so he has excellent playoff experience. The Hornets and Posey agreed to a 4-year deal worth close to 25 million dollars today after reports Boston was only willing to extend a two to three year deal. Hat tip to Hornets management for picking up such a key player to come off the bench.

I actually think the Hornets take a step back this coming year. They took a lot of teams by surprise the first half of the year and lets be honest the Western Conference is no joke.

  3. This is the final piece. West, Stojakovic, Chandler, Mo Pete, Pargo and Paul play like they did last year and this team goes to the Finals.
