Jason is a Kidd

So let him go! Three years now with a demand to be traded each year and the first two times Jason Kidd’s wish wasn’t granted. I think the third time should be a charm for the New Jersey Nets and ultimately Kidd. If a player wants out as bad as kidd then you need to let him go rather than him being a detriment to your team as a “leader”. I understand he is still one of the top point guards in the league, but if he isn’t committed then f%$k him. You are more than likely opening your new coliseum in Brooklyn for 2010 so why not trade him NOW for some young exciting talent? This talent will help make your coliseum grand opening a success rather than a Bronx cheer.
C-Webb Is Coming Back
Chris Webber joined the Pistons last year as a free agent expecting to win a World Championship in hometown of Detroit. In reality fairy tales rarely happen thus Detroit was upset in six games by King James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now Webber seems to be chasing another dream after word comes out he plans to play for the Golden State Warriors for whom he played with during his rookie season. The odd thing is Webber utilized a one-year escape clause to get away from head coach Don Nelson after his rookie season yet now he is accepting an invitation from Nelson and Chris Mullin to play for the Warriors. If this isn’t an odd situation all the way around then I don’t know what is anymore. I think Webber can definitely provide a spark to the Warriors, but don’t look for anything better than a second round appearance in the Western Conference playoffs.

Maria Sharapova Wins Australian Open

In the battle of the beauties Maria Sharapova dominated Ana Ivanovic in straight sets 7-5, 6-3 to win the Australian Open yesterday. Sharapova didn’t lost a single set in the tournament and was head and shoulders the best player in the tourney. I expect Maria to win at least one more Grand Slam this year if she can keep up the command she displayed the last two weeks.
