This beautiful woman hits the links tomorrow in the SBS Open at Turtle Bay in Oahu, Hawaii. She is still striving for her first ever LPGA win.
Tiger at Top of His Game
I just want to be straight up and say we are literally watching history before our eyes each week Tiger Woods plays golf. The man just won his FIFTH straight event yesterday at the Deutsche Bank Championship and is already FIFTH on the all-time winners list. Woods came from three strokes behind Vijay Singh on the final day to win this event by shooting a stellar 63. There is no way Tiger can win 11 in a row and top Byron Nelson’s amazing record because we are in a new day and time, but in my mind these five victories in a row is just as big of a deal as Nelson’s 11!
Michelle Wie Makes Cut
Teenage superstar Michelle Wie has made her first professional men’s golf tournament cut. After the first two rounds of the SK Telecom Open on the Asia Tour Wie sits at 5 under par. Michelle Wie is tied in 17th place and six strokes behind the co-leaders Iain Steel and Prom Meesawat. Wie becomes the second female ever to make the cut on the Asia Tour after Se Ri Pak was first in 2003. Wie is becoming quite the attraction with galleries of at least a 1,000 gathering around every hole she is on. I think she is wonderful for the game of golf and I hope to see her make a PGA cut in the near future.
Farewell Earl Woods
Tiger Wood’s main driving force passed away today at the age of 74 after a very long struggle with cancer. He wasn’t able to travel this year to the Masters due to how frail he had become due to the cancer. I wish Tiger and his family the very best and may the good Lord be with them in this trying time.
HOLY S*#T John Daly!
John Daly states in his new book coming out “John Daly: My Life In and Out of the Rough” that he has lost anywhere from $50 to $60 million in gambling over the last 12 years. I am in utter shock even thinking about losing cash at that volume. One gambling binge that blew my mind was when he earned $750,000 losing to Tiger Woods in a playoff at the World Golf Championship and then drove to Las Vegas only to lose $1.65 million in five hours playing $5,000 slot machines. OMG!!!
