This week we had a clear cut winner for the award. It goes to no other than mister “it’s all about me” Braylon Edwards. Earlier in the week he criticized Cleveland’s conservative offensive play calling publically and then went on to question his own teammate Brian Russell for his hard hit on Chad Johnson earlier in the season. Things really escalated yesterday on the sidelines against the Bengals when Edwards exchanged heated words with quarterback Charlie Frye and even grabbed his jersey while teammates tried to calm him down. Quality character Mr. Edwards!

This week the award goes to the New York Giants for allowing the Chicago Bears to run back another 108 yard missed field goal attempt. Last year Nathan Vasher ran one back against the San Francisco 49ers for 108 and this year it was Devin Hester. Hester literally hung out in the end zone before deciding to take off because he saw some of the New York Giants walking to the side lines.
I know almost all of you have wondered at times how a cantankerous Bill Parcells puts up with the circus act we call Terrell Owens, but wish no longer because the cat is out of the bag. Here is your T.O. Survival Guide and it includes some famous scenarios of Owens past and how to survive them. It all makes sense now Bill so I thank you for sharing and best of luck with the rest of the season!
It was only one year ago yesterday that one of my favorite sports stories unfolded down in Tampa, Florida. Renee Thomas and Angela Keathley got busy in a Banana Joe’s bathroom before getting clocked by another bar patron. These two darlings used to be Panthers cheerleaders until this notorious incident and will always hold a special place in my heart. ESPN Page 2 has a great satire on the occurrence and I have included the link below. Renee and Angela when will we hear from you again?
Article: Carolina Panthers Cheerleaders
Our prestigious award is generally given to an individual, but this week it must be given to an entire team because I’m sure they feel this way. The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to a putrid 2-6 after a home loss yesterday to the Denver Broncos. I know there are “hangovers” and drop-offs generally after you win the Super Bowl, but this is down right ridiculous. You can put a priority stamp on this season because the Steelers have mailed it in.
