It was a real close race this week for our prestigious award. Delta O’Neal almost pulled it out by being the eighth Cincinnati Bengal to be arrested this year. It never ceases to amaze me that these millionaires can’t pay someone to drive their sorry A$$ around. The winner this week is Stephen Jackson of the Indiana Pacers. Jackson could be one of the scummiest people to ever play professional sports and we all know that is saying a LOT. “Thug for life” was most recently kicked off his bench by Rick Carlisle after a profanity laced argument started because Jackson was removed from the game. I really want Stephen Jackson to just go away for good due to his constant conduct that is nothing but detrimental to his team and the entire league.

This week the honor goes to Reggie McNeal of the Cincinnati Bengals. McNeal becomes the SEVENTH Bengal to be arrested this year. McNeal was arrested in Houston and charged with resisting arrest after being refused entrance to a nightclub early Sunday morning. Two officers were standing near a club in Houston and things went wrong when the officers tried to tell McNeal the club was closing. McNeal shouted some profanity at the cops and even elbowed one of them in the chest. Nice work Reggie! I can only hope you were trying to get in the club to see “professional night” with Jenna Jameson as the headliner. This can be the only explanation to get that irate.
Rob Bironas of the Titans kicked a 60 yard field goal with seven seconds left to win a thriller in Nashville today against the Colts. It was the longest field goal in franchise history and tied for the third longest in NFL history. The Titans have now won five out of their last seven games and could continue to play spoiler as the season winds down. Vince Young and gang travel to Houston next weekend to take on the Texans.

It’s not bad enough the New York Giants are enduring three straight losses and now facing a very tough game this week at home against the Dallas Cowboys. The players seem to believe it’s also time to start a civil war in the process. In recent weeks Tiki Barber and Jeremy Shockey have blasted their coaches for play selections and direction, but now things are even taking a turn for the worse. Michael Strahan made some comments earlier in the week based on the lack of effort and desire Plaxico Burress has displayed on certain plays. Basically stating directly to the media Burress is “giving up on plays and quitting on everybody.” This is an ugly scenario that isn’t getting any better and at 6-5 the Giants can’t afford to continue down this path.
