Today college basketball lost an extraordinary coach and person in Kay Yow. Yow was the NC State women’s basketball for 34 years and won more than 700 games in a career filled with milestones. She coached the U.S. Olympic team to a gold medal in 1988, won four Atlantic Coast Conference tournament championships, earned 20 NCAA tournament bids and reached the Final Four in 1998. Yow had been fighting cancer for over 20 years and unfortunately at the age of 66 she lost the battle. I would like to say thank you to Kay for her impact on cancer research and for everything she did at NC State. You will be missed, but never forgotten!

Chas McFarland Rock Bottomed
Wake Forest the number one college basketball team in the country rolled into Clemson this past Saturday and beat the previously undefeated Tigers 78-68. It appears from this clip one of the Clemson fans didn’t take too kindly to center Chas McFarland running into him in the stands. Call me whacky, but I think the fan should be thrown out immediately and possibly disciplined by the school for his over the top antics.

Darius Miles Needs to Shake of the Rust
I’m sure most of you have heard by now how the Portland Trailblazers were threatening all NBA teams if they wanted to sign former Blazer Darius Miles. They basically let everyone know that there would be legal action if a team signed them because they didn’t want to pay $18 million Miles was owed. The Blazers wrote this money off stating Miles was no longer able to play, but if he played 10 games in a NBA season then they must pay up. Well, the Memphis Grizzlies weren’t scared of the the threats and signed Miles, but based on the video clip below maybe he isn’t able to play anymore. 😉

Eddy Curry Must Be Embarrassed
No wait, I’m not saying he should be embarrassed about his lackluster play at best since entering the NBA a few years ago back as the number four pick for the Chicago Bulls. Instead I’m referring to some shocking accusations that came about yesterday from a lawsuit filed against Eddy Curry. Curry’s former limo driver has accused the New York center of pointing a loaded gun at him in an attempt to keep him from complaining about sexual harassment and racial discrimination. Limo driver David Kuchinsky went on to accuse Curry of approaching him in the nude and trying to solicit him to engage in homosexual acts with him by telling him, “Look at me, Dave, look” and “Come and touch it, Dave.” Kuchinsky is seeking unpaid wages and five million from Curry and obviously wants to ruin his reputation too. Curry who is married and has chilidren is either being framed for some quick cash or he plays both sides of the fence. Thoughts?
