MLB Bets of the Day – July 28th, 2009

Definitely liking the under tonight in the Padres/Reds game and Jason Marquis will lead the Rockies to a win against the Mets in Citi Field.

Rickey Henderson’s Hall of Fame Speech

There was a lot of anticipation around Rickey Henderson’s acceptance speech into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame this past weekend in Cooperstown, New York. Some people were even touting it as potentially the best acceptance speech to ever be given on the hallowed grounds of baseball’s all-time greats. In my opinion it was excruciating to listen to so we offer you a condensed video version because it becomes irritating very quickly. Rickey toned down his extreme arrogance for the acceptance speech, but his grasp of the English language leaves a lot to be desired. I do dig the all white suit though!

MLB Bets of the Day – July 24th, 2009

I went 2-1 on Thursday so another night of profit. Going with the Phillies since they are 12-2 in their last 14 home games and taking the Astros even though they are facing Johan Santana. Chalk it!

MLB Bets of the Day – July 17th, 2009

The Cubbies are 10-4 in the last 14 meetings with Washington and I feel the trend will continue with Zambrano at the helm this evening. Take the Giants too because “the Freak” Tim Lincecum is pitching and after his disappointing outing in the All-Star game I think he is ready to mow down some Pirates batters.

Giants -150
White Sox -160

Pedro a Phillie

37-year old Pedro Martinez is heading back to the majors after passing a physical today with the Philadelphia Phillies. It had been reported Martinez would get close to $5 million, but now it appears Pedro has agreed to $1 million in base with incentives totaling an extra $1.5 million. The Phils have already used nine starters this year after last year when they only used seven total during their World Series championship season. Pedro should bring some balance to the shaky staff especially considering he pitched extremely well in the World Baseball Classic for the Dominican Republic. Just let your soul glow Pedro!

MLB Bets of the Day – July 9th, 2009

I’m really going against the grain today by taking the Rangers against King Felix and the Twins against the Yanks, but it is what I feel will happen. Dodgers rebound tonight after falling short against the Triple-A Mets.

MLB Bets of the Day – July 8th, 2009

The Mets are a Triple-A team at best these days so I like the Dodgers and Zona is on a four game winning streak and I’m betting the Padres don’t end it today. Good luck!

Erik Estrada Interview Gone Wrong

Generally when stars show up to sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame at Wrigley Field we jump at the chance to show you a botched rendition of the seventh inning stretech staple. While Erik “Ponch or Ponchorello if your nasty” Estrada’s arragement of Take Me Out to the Ballgame was putrid at best it was the interview he carried out afterwards that stole the show. References to the sexiest man alive, child porn, and Ron Jeremy’s magic stick should never be included in the same discussion. Check it out!

MLB Bets of the Day – July 6th, 2009

Time to get back on track today so you better get on the Dbacks facing the Padres who are 12-26 on the road this year. I also really like the Mariners who are 7-1 in their last 8 home games and 13-3 in their last sixteen games as a favorite. Ring it up!

MLB Bets of the Day – July 4th, 2009

Today is a great day to catch a game and better yet make some money off it while watching it. We have been heating up on our picks and I expect cashing again with today’s games. Good luck!
