The Toronto Blue Jays definitely believe Vernon Wells is one of the top talents in all of Major League Baseball and they are willing to pay the price. The Jays and Wells have agreed to a seven-year $126 million deal. It’s the sixth largest deal ever in MLB and $25.5 million is his signing bonus. I don’t know where Toronto finds the money to pay these deals when the Sky Dome seems to be vacant during home games, but they definitely pulled a rabbit out of their hat for this deal. I wish you luck Vernon because you have a 126 million reasons for fans to boo you if you don’t continue to produce.
