The Texas Rangers went the F#%k off lasts night against the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles were up 3-0 going into the fourth inning when the Rangers decided it was time to get the offense going. When the game was over the Rangers won by a staggering 30-3 score. It’s the second-most runs all-time right behind the Chicago Colts [now the Cubbies] scored 36 against the Louisville Colonels on June 29, 1897. The Rangers hit six home-runs with two of them being grand slams and Jarrod Saltamacchia had seven RBI’s in the game. I got a strong feeling this EMBARASSING loss will not sit well at all with the Orioles.

The Atlanta Braves have required a much needed first baseman in Mark Teixeira today from the Texas Rangers. Teixeira is batting .297 this season with 13 home runs and 49 RBIs and will be a major upgrade from Julio Franco who was playing first for Hotlanta. Texas traded Teixeira and middle relievevr Ron Mahay for Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Elvis Andrus and two minor league pitchers. Saltalamacchia and Andrus were considered by many to be the Braves top two prospects. The Teixeira acquisition will be helpful this year, but did the Braves actually give up too much?

Sammy Sosa hit his 600th career home run last night against his old team the Chicago Cubs. Sosa now playing with the Texas Rangers became the fifth player in history to reach this impressive mark. Hank Aaron, Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays and now Mr. Sosa. The question is should Sosa be inducted into the Hall of Fame?
Cleveland Indians cover -1.5 at home against the Texas Rangers
