It was a little over a month ago we discussed our thoughts on a Kevin Garnett trade to Boston. We didn’t think there was a chance the trade would actually happen, but it turns out we were wrong. It is being reported a deal is in place to send Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff and maybe even Ryan Gomes to the Minnesota Timberwolves for KG. Who would have thought the Celtics would give up all that talent for Garnett? I think the Celtics have to be thought of as a contender now though in the East now with Garnett alongside Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

So what the Celts got rid of 1/2 their team.. With Pierce, KG and Ray Allen they dont need anyone else to make the playoffs in the East. Did you see what LeBron took to the finals? Name 2 guys other than LeBron on that team. See?…

So with a Leon Poe, Rajon Rando and Baby Davis with these 3 I see a force with a little youth to balance the team out for a few years.
