McFadden, Shawn Kemp Part Deux?

So the Atlanta paper is reporting that Darren “Ladies Man” McFadden is ducking a paternity suit…and actually told a team earlier that he had children on the way….CHILDREN, as in plural, meaning two. I’m going out on a limb, and I’ve been wrong before, but I’m betting it ain’t twins, and there are two mommas as well. Hope he likes eating Ramen Noodles, cause at the rate he is going, child support is gonna continue to eat up whatever contracts he signs!

Super Sunday

Super Sunday

Ahh yes. It’s the day when more people watch the good ole boob tube than any other day of the year. Thus the reason a sponsor must pay $100,000 for every second they want their product or service seen during the big game. It’s also the second biggest day for consumption of food in America trailing only Thanksgiving. How much do we eat as a nation? Almost 15,000 tons of chips and 4,000 tons of popcorn. Some 13.2 million pounds of avocado or approximately 26 million individual avocados for our guacamole dips. There are more pizza deliveries made during Super Bowl Sunday than on any other day of the year and I won’t even begin to discuss the amount of alcohol consumed. The bottom line is today is a day of gluttony for America and I plan to participate with the best of them. Go Giants and I hope everyone has a great Super Sunday.

* Andrew Bynum is out eight weeks after temporarily dislocating his kneecap yesterday in a 100-99 win over Memphis. The Lakers are currently 4th in the Western Conference, but with this loss you can count on LA being no better than 7th by the time the young kid returns. His DRAMATIC improvement this year is the main factor behind the Lakers improvement and Ronny Turiaf and Vladimir Radmanovic can’t cut the mustard in trying fill his shoes.

* Not only is Darren McFadden leaving Arkansas early for the NFL, but now comes word that junior tailback Felix Jones will also be going pro. That is over 230 yards rushing per game gone from the Hogs as they go into next season. Welcome Bobby Petrino! Thinking about moving on to another team already???

* The Bolts worked the Colts yesterday in Indy. The Chargers were able to orchestrate the huge upset without hardly any reps from Antonio Gates, a mere 28 yards from an injured LT, and without Philip Rivers for the final few minutes of the game. Players with names like Billy Volek, Legedu Naanee, Darren Sproles and Vincent Jackson were the real keys to the victory. I highly suggest there isn’t much celebrating after the victory against the defending SuperBowl champs because New England is waiting in the wings this coming weekend.
