Josh Smith Getting Jiggy

Check out this video of Josh Smithdunking all over Jermaine O’Neal in Game 5 last night against the Miami Heat. Josh is definitely one of the best dunkers currently in the NBA and this video is definitive proof.

Tebows Too Much

Tebows

Tim Tebow is so popular in Florida these days someone decided to create panties in his homage. These little blue and orange beauties have a T on the front with a nice little bow attached to the T. I have so many things running through my head right now I think I’m going to sign off and not say a word.

NBA Bets of the Day – April 29th, 2009

I have to take the Nuggets for the simple fact they smacked the Hornets around in New Orleans just two nights ago. I know 10.5 is a lot in the Playoffs, but I will roll the dice. Wade and the Heat will get under the 5.5 they are getting from the Hawks.

Nuggets -10.5
Heat +5.5

Overall Record:

NBA 35-28
MLB 25-16-1
NHL 0-1
College Football: 106-92-1
NFL 103-72-5
College Basketball 197-149-6

I’m Fed Up With KG

Has anyone else observed Kevin Garnett excessively hooting and hollering from the sidelines during the Celtics and Bulls series? It is one thing when he would taunt and bark at other players while healthy and on the court, but now he is off the chain from the sidelines. KG is constantly flapping his gums and making ridiculous mad faces from the bench and I have become more frustrated each game with his antics. Last night though I finally had enough of Garnett after Rondo’s questionable foul at the end of the Game 5 on Brad Miller. Miller ended up bloody and seemed quite dazed from the hard foul, but he still had to try and gather himself in order to shoot two free throws. The Bulls were down by two with two seconds left and not surprisingly Miller missed the first free throw. Garnett saw this as an opportunity to yell at the top of his lungs that Miller is a choker and of course he included every four letter word in the book during his tirade.

Kevin Garnett

KG might want to take a step back and think about the fact the Bulls lost as many games this year as they one yet they are giving the Celtics a whale of a series. Secondly, he might want to think about the fact Miller probably saw stars rotating around the basket due to Rondo’s foul. I think it would be great if Garnett would quit showing his a$$ and instead sit on it for the rest of the Playoffs because he is really tarnishing his image. I’m done with him already, but others are sure to follow suit if he continues his moronic ways!

San Antonio Spurs

I really like the Spurs with their backs against the wall tonight at home. I understand they haven’t played well at all this series, but I see this game going to Game 6. Secondly, I’m taking the 76ers basically because they have played Orlando very close every game.

Spurs -5.5
76ers +8.5

If you have ever visited our site then you already know we are huge fans of the women’s tennis. Our two favorite current athletes on tour are Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic due to their phenomenal skills. Both women have won majors on tour Well, we are happy to annouce a third lady to the list and my gracious her skills are plentiful. Her name is Simona Halep and she is only a 17-year old Romanian who is the current Junior French Open Champion. Halep isn’t officially on the WTA Tour yet, but many tennis analysts predict she will be turning pro very soon and they are expecting big things from her in the coming years. Gregg Valentino Blows Up

Gregg Valentino

The man once known to have “The Biggest Arms in the World” is in a piece tonight on ESPN at 7:00 PM EST on their news show E:60 and I suggest you don’t miss it. Gregg Valentino was so popular at his apex he was seen on numerous TV shows such as Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show”, the Tyra Banks show, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, the Carson Daly Show, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the list goes on. In a nutshell Valentino was injecting steroids at a ridiculous rate locally into his biceps and his arms were ballooning like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. He was on top of the world, that is, until one of his biceps literally exploded, he lost his family and then ultimately got arrested for selling steroids. Check out his jaw dropping story tonight on E:60.

Is Watching NASCAR Safe?

ATTENTION NASCAR FANS: Before you buy your next ticket to the track, ask yourself one question – Is my last will and testament up to date?

If you missed the final lap of the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday, then you not only missed a thrilling ending to the worlds fastest sport, but you also missed one of the most terrifying situations in racing.

A last lap crash, on the front stretch…with a car going airborne…and heading straight towards the fans.

In case you missed it here’s a replay…

If that catch fence fails or Carl Edwards’ car is a few feet higher, then we would have an awful tragedy being broadcast all over the news today. Eight NASCAR fans were treated for minor injuries as a result of the accident, but no one, including none of the drivers, was seriously hurt. In fact, Carl Edwards stepped out of his car and jogged to finish line in a symbolic finish to the race

Is it a testament to the technology and engineering that no one is mourning a loved one today or is it just divine intervention? Maybe its a little bit of both. The fact that no fan was seriously hurt is amazing. The fact that Carl Edwards isn’t in a hospital is a amazing.

So the question remains: Even though no one was seriously hurt, is it safe to sit in the stands and watch a NASCAR race?

I think the answer for race fans is yes.

First, consider the odds of being in position on a track to witness this type of wreck. They are pretty big and you would have a better chance of getting in an accident after the race just trying to get out of the parking area.

Second, this doesn’t mean that NASCAR and the track owners will not be investigating the mechanics of this crash for months to come. You can say what you want about this sport but I believe on thing to be true…safety is a number one concern for all involved.

There were at least 3 other cars that I saw yesterday hit the wall head on (similar to a crash that killed Dale Earnhardt) and they walked away. Why? Technology like the Hans Device and softer barrier walls, which a few years ago didn’t exist, kept those drivers not only alive but unhurt.

I would put my money on the development of a safer catch fence in the near future…possibly one that does not allow debris through, as a result of this accident.

Like racing or not, the finish to this race was thrilling, terrifying and amazing all in the span of about 10 seconds.

You will definitely see me at the track…and I just looked…my will is up to date!
