Pacman Can’t Compete

Pacman Jones

No no, not in the NFL because we know that is still a long ways away if ever again. The Titans had received a temporary restraining order Friday that prohibited “King Thug” in even appearing at the TNA “Hard Justice” pay-per-view wresting event tomorrow. A judge has allowed Pacman to appear at the wrestling event, but he won’t be allowed to touch or be touched, use or be hit by any object or anything else that could injure him. I don’t see these stipulations leaving much for Pacman to do, but if I know Pacman he will break the rules anyway because that’s how he rolls.

Sergio Garcia Goofs

Sergio Garcia

Sergio Garcia has been disqualified today from the PGA Championship at Southern Hills due to signing an incorrect score card. Sergio wasn’t really in the running in the major with his +9 score, but this has to be an embarassment nonetheless. Every PGA golfer knows its a must to check your scorecard at the end of your round to make sure the player you are paired with has recorded the appropriate scores for you. At least Garcia found a new way to bumble his way right out of a tournament. 😉

Reggie Miller Making a Comeback?

Not only is he possibly coming back, but it’s rumored to be with the Boston Celtics. I personally think Reggie is still valuable based upon his shooting alone and he would be an excellent addition to the revampled Celtics. Danny Ainge has work left on his plate in respect to filling out his squad after losing so much in the trade for Garnett. In the last week they have signed Eddie House and Scott Pollard and we will just have to see if Reggie Miller is next.

Barry Bonds Breaks the Record

Bonds broke the record held by Hank Aaron after hitting his 756th career home run last night against the Washington Generals.

Brady Quinn signs with Cleveland Browns

Brady Quinn fell from a possible top 3 pick all the way to the 22nd pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Quinn finally inks a deal with the Browns after almost a two-week hold out. Brady Quinn agreed to a five-year contract worth $20.2 million and the possibility of $30 million over five years based on escalations in the contract. Cleveland guaranteed $7.75 million of the contract and for that I’m sure Quinn is pleased by holding out. Know will the Cleveland Browns be pleased with him?

A-Rod Joins Elite Club

Alex Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez hit his 500th home run today against recently acquired Kyle Davies (Davies was traded from the Braves to KC for closer Octavio Dotel) of the Kansas City Royals. A-Rod homered eight days after his 32nd birthday to surpass Jimmie Foxx (32 years, 338 days) as the youngest player to ever reach the 500 club. Love him or hate the guy is a stud. I would like to hear if you think he can break the overall home run record that will eventually be set by Bonds?

Virginia Beach or Bust!

Holla at ya boy! StonecoldJZ is on vacation for a long weekend so posting will be very light! I have already realized I need to take more vacations. 🙂

Calvin Johnson Signs Deal

Calvin Johnson

The #2 pick in this year’s draft has signed a six year deal with the Detroit Lions. Things were pretty tense the last few days about when the Lions could actually get Johnson into camp. I’m sure this is a huge relief to Jon Kitna since he predicted at least 10 wins this year. 😉
