I highly doubt the Portland Trailblazers are actually saying something that silly, but I know they have to be happy with their performance to date this season without their number one draft pick Greg Oden. The Blazers won their tenth game in a row last night against Denver and are eighth overall in the Western Conference. Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge lead the way for this up and coming team by scoring 37 points a game together while Travis Outlaw and Martell Webster are chipping in 12.3 and 11.7 points per game respectively. Nate McMillan is an excellent NBA coach and I fully expect this team to become a real contender for a Championship in the coming years.
The Portland Trailblazers and Toronto Raptors both had two players on the first team. Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge could be the cornerstone players who turn around the Blazers recent woes based on their excellent play this year. Andrea Bargnani and Jorge Garbosa proved they are solid this year in Toronto helping the Raptors make the playoffs this year. Congrats gentlemen and think of the possible All Rookie team next year with the likes of Greg Oden, Kevin Durant, Brandan Wright, Roy Hibbert, and so on.

Just a few notes and observations as I flip back and forth from game to game
- LaMarcus Aldridge may be a great kid. He may be a great basketball player someday. But please, PLEASE, don’t talk. If you heard the call in during the Texas - Mich. State game, you know what I mean
- Houston Rockets big men, specifically Yao “Pick an’ Ro’” Ming and Dikembe, don’t bring the ball down. Don’t try to dribble, or anything that brings the ball below your shoulders. Good lord!
- Speaking of the Houston Rockets….if they were to look up ONE word in the dictionary, FINISH ought to be it. If you can’t find it, I’ll even do the leg work for you.
- Finish : to defeat or ruin utterly and finally. To DEFEAT. FINALLY.
- Is Doug Collins talking through a block of cheese at the end of his mic? Several games this year and he sounds like he is talking into a pillow. Can someone from TNT please fix this?
ok, I think that’s it…carry on
