A Sign of Things to Come in Dallas?
2 Comments Published by stonecoldjz September 29th, 2008 in General Sports, NFLMy how quickly things can change in Dallas once they are no longer undefeated. Check out this clip of TO sounding quite frustrated about what he feels happens if he isn’t involved in the offense. I would like to point out Owens was thrown at 17 times yesterday against the Skins which to me is absurd because it becomes too predictable. I think the two people from Dallas who should be complaining are Marion Barber and Felix Jones. Barber only had 8 rushes against Washington and Jones had none. When you have a combo like that in the backfield it’s a must they get more than eight carries between the two of them.

The HBO television series Hard Knocks has announced this year they will follow the Dallas Cowboys at their training camp in Oxnard, California. This is the fourth edition of “Hard Knocks,” and the second to include the Cowboys. The Cowboys were also on the show back in ‘02. Only one team has ever made the playoffs after doing the show and that was the 2001 Ravens who went 10-6 after winning the Super Bowl the year before. My opinion is you don’t want a camera crew following your every move for the entire training camp. This Cowboys team has a lot of potential and I think all this distraction during such an important time for team chemistry is a recipe for disaster.
If you haven’t seen the postgame interview with TO after the Cowboys emotional 21-17 loss last night to the New York Giants then you have come to the right place. Check out the video clip below to see TO crying in defense of his quarterback Tony Romo. Thoughts?

Tony Romo has just inked the largest deal in Cowboy history with a six-year $67.5 million dollar deal. Romo has looked nice in the Cowboys 6-1 start, but isn’t this jumping the gun a little for Jerry Jones and the Boys? I personally think this is too early and too much, but his star power is undeniable. If Jerry would have locked this deal up at the beginning of the year like Romo’s agent wanted how much would he have saved? I think the number would have been at least $20 million!

The man with ‘concrete cleats’ has decided to hang them up after fourteen seasons. The long time Patriot who also played with the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys is done with professional football and I’m sure won’t be a Tony Romo fan anytime soon.

After ten interviews by owner Jerry Jones the multi-millionaire finally selected his man. The shocking thing is that it wasn’t Norv Turner as many speculated in recent weeks. Wade Phillips is the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Wade has been the head coach previously of the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills and also been the defensive coordinator for many successful teams most recently with the San Diego Chargers. Wade I hope you have fun dealing with Terrell Owens.
