Something for Romeo to Think About

Derek Anderson after three starts has the worst QB rating in the entire league. Anderson and the Browns are currently 0-3 in large part due to the 43.5 QB rating and Anderson’s five interceptions. It’s still early, but the Browns season for all intent and purpose is over so shouldn’t they bring in Brady Quinn for some seasoning? I understand Anderson signed a hefty extension prior to the season, but if he isn’t getting it done then it’s time to make a change. Romeo Crennel has already announced Anderson is still the man this week, but Quinn will see more reps in practice. I feel if Anderson has a bad first half this weekend at Cincinnati then Quinn gets on the field for sure and maybe for the rest of the year.

Brady Quinn fell from a possible top 3 pick all the way to the 22nd pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Quinn finally inks a deal with the Browns after almost a two-week hold out. Brady Quinn agreed to a five-year contract worth $20.2 million and the possibility of $30 million over five years based on escalations in the contract. Cleveland guaranteed $7.75 million of the contract and for that I’m sure Quinn is pleased by holding out. Know will the Cleveland Browns be pleased with him?
The Cleveland Browns signed running back Jamal Lewis yesterday for $3.5 million. If he performs well he could earn around $5 million from the Brownies. I’m not a big fan of this signing when you already have a hause in Reubuen Droughns plus you have been rumored to want Adrian Peterson in the draft. Can someone please explain?
SportsUnderground.com’s Dumb A$$ of the Week Award

This week we had a clear cut winner for the award. It goes to no other than mister “it’s all about me” Braylon Edwards. Earlier in the week he criticized Cleveland’s conservative offensive play calling publically and then went on to question his own teammate Brian Russell for his hard hit on Chad Johnson earlier in the season. Things really escalated yesterday on the sidelines against the Bengals when Edwards exchanged heated words with quarterback Charlie Frye and even grabbed his jersey while teammates tried to calm him down. Quality character Mr. Edwards!
